A clothing line usually aims to serve primarily men or women. Even established companies like Lululemon, known for yoga pants and high-quality athletic wear, have difficulty expanding past their female base. TRÊVE’s mission to offer a completely gender-neutral environment made choosing a font difficult. It needed to balance the scale between a masculine type (3) and a feminine type (7).
The design.
To emphasize inclusiveness, the logo and tag for TRÊVE is backed by an array of art with the word ‘truce’ translated into multiple languages. Of the three final design options, the owner chose the first option with the black lettering, white background, and minimal red accents.
